Well, if totalling a car is a rite of passage for a boy as commenters to the last post allege, we've got that one covered. The frame is bent and most probably not worth fixing.
I've yet to take my car to the mechanic. I'll stop by later this afternoon. The guy I'm going to has a one-man shop and you generally have to make an appointment several weeks in advance for your car to collapse. Inconvenient, but it's so hard to find a half-way decent mechanic who's not a complete crook.
