Megyn Kendall, Fox News lawyer babe, is the latest in the list of women with standard names but alternate spellings to come to my attention.
Did Megyn's parents hope the creatively spelled name would make her stand out from the crowd? It seems to have worked. There must have been half a dozen blond Megans, Meagans and Meghans vying for the job of Fox News lawyer babe. But they chose Megyn with a Y. Yay, Megyn!
Maybe I should consider an alternate spelling. Raychelle, perhaps?
