A tale of two immigrants

Looks like the UK has some fine-tuning to do on its immigration policy.
Case one: A much-loved immigrant family, having proved their desire to contribute to and integrate with the community, is forced to leave, despite nearly unanimous objection.

...

Case two: A convicted terrorist, reportedly connected with (though acquitted, due to lack of evidence) the al-Qaeda murder of Northern Alliance leader Ahmed Shah Massoud on September 9, 2001 - a probable "go-ahead" signal for the 9/11 attacks - is likely to remain in the country, thanks to the "human rights" leanings of the Law Lords.
