She doesn't resonate with me

Jack Grant says it would behoove us to understand "what's happening and why" in regards to Cindy Sheehan. The furor around Cindy Sheehan exists for a reason, and it is not simply the right-wing canard of "a biased MainStream Media."

I don't think so. Mother Sheehan is a creature of the media. Her story has resonance because it's the only story out there. There is simply not that much going on in August. And as soon as something--or someone--comes along to replace her she'll be history. Come fall, "the off her nut" mom will be relegated to the back pages. Which, by the way, can't be soon enough for me.

In the meantime, you'll be pleased to note, Cindy didn't "set out to become the 'Rosa Parks of the Peace Movement." And that's a good thing, cuz she isn't.

UPDATE: Heh. Thanks to The Commissar.
