I hope for the sake of the country that Obama performs well, but I fear that it's going to be all downhill after January 20. Big hype tends to be followed by big disappointment.
I'm hoping for the best. But the worshipful Obama-ists are undoubtedly headed for a fall. It's impossible for anyone to fulfill all their fantasies, let alone a President of the United States.
My wife and I won't be attending the inauguration- too cold, too crowded, DC has made it too miserable to attend. And if there are going to be 3 or 4 more such events for Obama, we might as well wait.
