Aaarrgh!

After banging my head against the wall trying to get haloscan comments installed for the last, apparently unloved, layout I decided to see whether blogger would now recognize my old three-column layout. And voila!

Nothing like spending days on end engaging in an absolutely fruitless endeavor.

I can't figure out how to get rid of that gap in the far-right column, however. There's a huge space in between items one and two, no matter what items one or two contain.
