Let's talk about the weather

I understand folks living in the interior of this great nation are trying to dig themselves out of several feet of snow. Meanwhile, we here in the mid-Atlantic states have been enjoying an unseasonably balmy stretch of weather.

• Last night I had all my windows open and had to strip a blanket from my bed in order to sleep.
  
• I took my morning coffee on my balcony wearing nothing more than a long t-shirt.
  
• I have yet to wear a winter coat this season and today's the first day of December.
  
• My geraniums were still blooming last week when I ripped them out of their pots.
  
• I've probably had the heat on fewer than five days this season.

If this be global warming, I say bring it on.
