[Chairman of the Center of Organizations of Holocaust Survivors in Israel Noach] Flug added that he is convinced that Ahmadinejad's hatred for the Jews would decline and his desire for peace increase after hearing the testimonies of Holocaust survivors.
He also asked the Iranian president to invite representatives of Holocaust survivors to the conference on the Holocaust that Iran is planning to hold in December, which is to include topics such as "reasons for anti-Semitism in Europe" and "the Holocaust and Zionism."
Flug wrote that inviting survivors would enable "serious and factual discussion of the subject."
Facts are not the issue. Anti-semitism is way too popular with Ahmadinejad's constituency to be discarded because a few facts get in the way.
