I wasn't planning on watching it, but I got hooked on Sasha Cohen's beautiful performance in the short program the other night so last night I decided to watch the women's long performance.
I tuned in at 8 and it wasn't until past 10 that that we got to see the contenders. Instead, we were treated to a long, boring succession of also-rans, interrupted by the ski jumping and interspersed with cuts back to Bob Costas, who added nothing to the proceedings. The final skaters didn't appear until after 11.
Since none of these events were live, there was absolutely no excuse for this. NBC sucks.
