Liar, liar

British MP George Galloway may be facing perjury and other charges for denying before a Congressional committee that he received money from Saddam Hussein's regime.
Ex Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq Tariq Aziz states:

"Mr Galloway asked him for political funding in allocations in the name of Mr Zureikat. The Senate report shows that Mr Zureikat received $740,000 from Taurus Petroleum on July 27, 2000, as commission for its purchase of 2,645,068 barrels of oil."

Galloway denied he had reveived a single cent of the money before the Senate back in May

The Senate committee report reproduces money-transfer documents from Citibank showing that Mr Zureikat sent Mr Galloway’s wife $150,000 on August 3, 2000. They conclude that the amount was "largely" Oil-for-Food money because Mr Zureikat’s account contained $848,683 at the time, only $38,000 of which did not come from the programme.

Galloway's Palestinian wife received £100,000 as well, documents show.
A report by an investigative committee of the United States Senate says the money was sent to the personal account of Amineh Abu Zayyad in August 2000.

The report, compiled by Republican and Democratic staff, contains detailed information gleaned from Iraqi archives and bank accounts in Britain and Jordan.

The investigators concluded that Mr Galloway knew about the payments and that "through his wife was personally enriched" by them. They say that he "knowingly made false or misleading statements under oath before [a Senate] sub-committee".

UPDATE: Which tyrant-loving scum do you believe?
