And then there's the Iraqi constitution

Hammorabi:
Over all how nice it is to be free and vote then calculate like the other civilized nations and not 99.999% yes for one person or one family under the barbaric dictatorship regimes.

Remember the purple fingers? In those halcyon days, the MSM actually spent about 24 hours of the news cycle showing the brave Iraqis leaving the polls, fingers held aloft. Now, not so much.

Not having paid too much attention to the news over the past week or so, my reentry into the world began in the Phoenix airport where I saw CNN breathlessly reporting on sabotage to the Iraqi electrical grid, with much (hopeful?) speculation as to how this would (negatively) affect the election. The next day, I glanced at a few headlines and caught some of the news as I ran around doing performing errands. Not too much on the election. Sunday, I missed the news altogether. Today there's just more grudging reports: "A hard road ahead," etc.

Sigh.
