Conservatives love Condi Rice. In fact, they love her so much that's she's annihilating everyone in Patrick Ruffini's blogosphere straw poll. Heck, she's such a popular choice that she's actually beating the next 4 candidates COMBINED!
That's unfortunate because at this point, Condi Rice appears to be a weak candidate who I think would have enormous difficulty beating Hillary Clinton in 2008.
But Hillary's got to be the least cuddly politician on the planet. Oh I know she's got her fans, principally among elite baby boomer women who kvelled over her accomplishments when Bill Clinton was running--" A career woman," "Someone like us," etc. etc.--but aside from these cult members does anyone else think she's likeable?
Plus, don't you find it rather remarkable that the woman who derided "stand by your man" women owes her political career to, er, standing by her man?
