I could scream

I could scream, a new blog focusing on women and Islam and brought to you by Wretchard, kicks off with a post about this article by Theodore Dalrymple.

Dalrymple argues that a recent British court decision that "allows" a 13-year-old girl to wear a jilbab to school, in contravention of the school's dress code, reads like the "suicide note ... of an entire civilization." The ruling, he says, enables Muslim men in Britain to continue to enslave and abuse women, forcing them into marriages and often killing them if they object.

The kicker: Cherie Blair represented the girl before the court.
