Conservative coffee drinkers are steamed (forgive the egregious puns) at Starbucks and its The Way I See It campaign, which prints the "thoughts, opinions and expressions provided by notable figures that now appear on our widely shared cups." (Via Boing Boing)

Problem is, customers complain, those quotes come from only one side of the political spectrum, with the exception of National Review's Jonah Goldberg.

What quotes would you like to see on your coffee cup? Readers are asked to supply some of their own favorite quotes in the comments and here.

Here are some ideas to get you started:
Better be despised for too anxious apprehensions, than ruined by too confident security. ~ Edmund Burke

For too long, many nations, including my own, tolerated, even excused, oppression in the Middle East in the name of stability. Oppression became common, but stability never arrived. We must take a different approach. We must help the reformers of the Middle East as they work for freedom, and strive to build a community of peaceful, democratic nations. ~ George W. Bush

Europe was created by history. America was created by philosophy. ~ Margaret Thatcher

The government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it. ~ Ronald Reagan
